It’s pretty clear that we need to feel close to other people to get on well in the world – connecting with others could be said to be an essential human need.
We need all kinds of relationships to be happy and keep our minds healthy. With this in mind, try to do something different today and make a connection.
- Talk to someone, instead of texting or messaging them.
- Speak to someone new.
- Ask how someone’s weekend was and really listen when they tell you.
- Tell your family something about your day.
- Walk home or to the bus with someone.
Why not go along to a youth club or join a local group that are doing something you might enjoy?
