Families are supposed to love each other, and your home should be a safe and secure place. But sometimes families don’t get on and this can be tough to deal with.

Every family is different and they are made up of people who have different needs, ideas and ways of doing things. Sometimes this means you won’t get on and there will be arguments and family problems, which is completely normal.

What should I do if it gets too much?

Sometimes family arguments and tensions can get very complicated and difficult to solve. Remember, this is not your fault!

If it gets too much and you need someone to talk to, there are people who can support you. If someone in your family is finding it hard to cope, they may also need to get some help.

"We cannot direct the wind, but we can adjust the sails."

- Dolly Parton

What should I do if it gets very serious?

If you’re being abused or there is domestic violence in your family please talk to an adult you trust or phone a helpline for advice and support.
